General booking conditions

These conditions apply as a contract for your stay in our units. The purpose is to make it clear what the rights and responsibilities of both parties are before you arrive. This will make us able to serve you as our guests in the best possible way.

The tenant’s responsibilities

The tenant /person making the booking has to be over 22 years of age, as must the person responsible for the cabin / apartment during your stay. Guests may be asked to show proof of identity when checking in. If no one is over 22 years of age, the keys will not be handed out and the payment will not be repaid.
The number of persons staying in any accommodation unit must not exceed the number stated in the rental agreement.
Guests are not permitted to use their own hi-fi or sound system in cabins and apartments.
Guests must be quiet at 10 p.m on weekdays, and 11 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Noise and commotion that disturb our other guests will lead to a formal warning. The disturbed guests will be able to contact “Vaktservice”, our security service company. The ones causing the call-out of the security service company will also have to pay for the call-out. Failure to comply with any such warning will lead to immediate eviction. In such case the rent is not refundable.
On departure, the unit must be tidied and cleaned in accordance to the house rules.
Payment will be required on departure or invoiced later in respect of any damaged or missing furniture or equipment; any fire damage caused by your negligence; any unnecessary attendance by the fire service; any vandalism/damage and any substandard cleaning. These rules are part of the rental contract.

Booking and payment

We will confirm your booking by sending you an invoice. 20 % of the rent is to be paid within 14 days of booking. Making the advance payment constitutes your acceptance of the terms of the rental contract. The remaining amount must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival. Late payment will result in cancellation of the booking without notice. Payment must be made immediately in full by credit card when you book less than 45 days in advance. When booking less than 7 days in advance, guests must show a valid receipt at arrival before handed the key.

Cancellation

Cancellation must be in writing to post@roldal-booking.no
When cancelling more than 30 days before arrival, we will refund the advance payment, less an administration fee of NOK 300 per unit. When cancelling less than 30 days before arrival we will retain the payment.

Check-in and check-out

Check- in time is from 5 p.m – 10 p.m. You pick up the key at our reception. At arrival before or after the check-in time, please contact us at +47 958 50 500.
All guests must check-out before 12 noon. Please leave the key in our key-delivery box outside the recycling station (see map in the apartment) or in the reception.

In addition

At arrival every unit will have 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towel, 1 dish-cloth and 1 dish-towel. Bed linen and towels, fire wood and ski cards can be ordered.

Domestic animals

Domestic animals cannot stay in the units unless specific permission from the owner is given and payment is arranged.

Cleaning

Compulsory final cleaning:
Before departing, guests have to tidy up after themselves. You have to clear and wash the tables, the kitchen work top and clear the floor. You have to do the dishes and take out the garbage and empties. Please read the ”did you remember?” notice on the door. Rented bed linen is to be removed and placed in the hall in the bag it was delivered in. Should this not have been done, or have been done inadequate, an extra fee will be charged.
Without final cleaning (only applicable spring, summer and autumn):
Before departure the unit is to be cleaned following the notice in the apartment. This includes placing all dishes back in the cupboards. The tenant also has to clean all work tops and tables, the fridge, coffee machine, micro wave and oven, the toilet, sink, shower and all floors. Should this not have been done, or been done inadequate, the tenant will be charged /invoiced the cost of final cleaning in addition to an extra fee equal to 50 % of the cost of final cleaning.

Deposit

We reserve the right to take a deposit in cash or take your credit card details at check-in for the purpose of reserving a deposit. (NOK 500 – NOK 1000, depending on the size of the unit). Please note that the relevant sum will be reserved, it will not actually be charged to your credit card without your approval. If in cash, the deposit will be refunded at departure after inspecting the unit. The purpose of the deposit is to ensure that the cabins are not exposed to criminal damage etc.

Exclusions

We are not liable for unsatisfactory snow conditions, closure of facilities or other circumstances beyond our control. Nor are we liable for errors in our pricelist, website or printed material. This may lead to us not being able to deliver as stated on our website, in our marketing or in other ways. We reserve the right to cancel your booking or part of this if the product is sold out. If this should occur you will be notified and receive another offer. You will be able to accept our new offer or cancel your booking.

No smoking

Smoking is not permitted in any of our cabins or apartments. Please respect this policy. If not respected, you will be invoiced for the damage this has caused.

Complaints

You should inform us of any complaints within a reasonable time, latest by 10 a.m. the day following arrival, so that the deficiency / fault can be rectified immediately with minimum inconvenience for the guests affected. Failure to make a timely complaint will generally result in forfeiture of any right to subsequent compensation.
